My Favorite Things (Summer Edition)

Joshy on Mt Washy has thrown out the challenge to come up with a list of Favorite things in the summer. Josh, please don't think I am copying you, but remember, you are my twin in so many ways.

1. Freshly cut grass. The smell screams summer; the look says "I care about my home"

2. The relaxed attitude everyone has. Everyone is in "vacation mode" much of the time. Everyone is less encumbered by their wardrobes (no coats or boots) and less stress on the highway (no icy patches).

3. Vacation! Although you can vacation any time of the year, summer vacations, even short getaways, usually mean enjoying the great outdoors.

4. My sister, a teacher, is off work and available for fun adventures~ sometimes just sitting on her deck enjoying a glass of iced tea.

5. Vacation Bible school. At this point, you should notice a theme: most of my list has the word "vacation" in it.

6. Whitehall Campmeeting. This, again, would be a vacation week. Family comes from Florida, Texas, New Jersey, and Virginia to reunite at our beloved camp.

Blogger friends, what are your favorite things of the summer?

Nice list. Of course it's fine that your summer list revolves around vacation.

Looking forward to your fall list!

Also, the word it gave me here to type in for verification was "qabzz".

my favorite things about summer used to be the heat (when i lived in new england) and vacation from school. i don't go to school anymore, and i live in san francisco, where the weather stays kinda the same the whole year round, so i think i'll have to go with you on the whole people's summery vacationy attitudes.
