Last night I read Blake's blog dated Saturday, Aug 23rd and found it to be about Mark Batterson's new book, Wild Goose Chase. Blake very eloquently expounded about the gems he found in the first chapter alone, so I decided to visit Mark's blog, and through some searching (don't ask me the path, I do not remember) found where I could download the first chapter of the book.
Inspirational indeed! I am pumped to go buy the book and dive in.
The website also had a link to send Mark an email to let him know your thoughts, so I did, and I told him about how In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day inspired me to go on a mission trip to Honduras. How the Holy Spirit used that book to help me embrace uncertainty, overcome obstacles, and face my fears. And how that led to a 3 day speaking opportunity at a W. Pa. campmeeting.
Lo and Behold, Mark emailed me back! Holy smokes! Gotta go buy the book!

I am working really hard at trying to get everything done this week. Why? Because I have a copy of Wild Goose Chase waiting for me to read it. Argh! I got to get to it. You got to love Mark Batterson.
