One of the things that have been on my mind to blog about is the Clarion Connection to the Super Bowl. Jon and I both graduated from Clarion University. The starting guard for the Arizona Cardinals ALSO graduated from Clarion: Reggie Wells. His father was a star basketball player for Clarion when we were students. My roommate Jan had a huge crush on Reggie. I, on the other hand, had a huge crush on his teammate, the point guard, Carl. Jon and I as well as my dad and sister who are Clarion grads spoke a few times in recent weeks about a fellow alumni being a part of the big game.
Last Saturday Jon and I attended the La Roche basketball game (where Jeremy is an assistant coach). One of the referees for the game was none other than my college crush, Carl.
Weird.
Another Clarion connection to the Super Bowl is the voiceover for any Steeler videos you hear is none other than CUP (Clarion Univ of PA) grad Larry Richert of KDKA.
