Too sparkly for daytime

Wow, there is so much to blog about......the Mighty Steelers, our beloved team, soon headed to the Super Bowl. The Pittsburgh connections with the Cardinals (note to self, I must blog about that later)Josh and Jer going to the game.....The Pitt Panthers losing their #1 ranking in the national polls but then regaining some respectability with their win over Syracuse last night....our small group starting a new study on 90 Minutes in Heaven and the profound comments Bethany made....Heather getting a Snuggy.....the Inauguration.
But all I can think of right now is how odd I think Michelle Obama's choice of an outfit was for this big day.
The day started at like 10 in the morning with the Obama's first going to church and then to the White House to have tea and cookies with the Bushes (there's another blog: how I cried when the Bushes got on the helicopter to leave Washington)
Michelle Obama had on a "lemongrass yellow" dress and matching coat that was way too sparkly for a daytime event. It looked more like a cocktail dress. Who wears this look to church? Maybe it's just me but I thought it was a real fashion DON'T. Anyone else think so?

There were so many don'ts about today, I wouldn't know where to start. How about black won't have to get back, brown can stick around, white will do what's right and yellow can get mellow. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?! I mean I know the dude was like 80 years old, but come on!
How about everybody booing Pres. Bush and singing the na na na na good bye song about him. Ouch! I mean, I know the guy's not popular, but let him leave with some dignity!
Either Laura Bush was in mourning with her gray suit or she had all her happy clothes packed.
I thought Rick Warren's prayer was for the most part pretty inspiring.
The yo-yo ma etc. song was amazing as was Aretha Franklin, but how could she not be?
That's enought thoughts for now...
