Travelling to Teguc

Six hours til go time...yes, I should be in bed but I figure, maybe I'll sleep on the plane if I am REALLY tired.
I am really in a panic about being gone two whole weeks. I don't think I've ever gone anywhere for two weeks before. The longest vacation I've ever been on was 10 days. I am going to miss Jon!
Here is what I am excited about and what you can pray about: I am excited to really connect with my family down there. Maricella, Luz, Luis and Alejandra are just the best people. Such a beautiful little family. I have thought of some things I want to say and some things I want to ask them, and so I went to babblefish.com and typed in my questions and phrases. Babblefish is a website that will translate your words into another language. So, since I took Spanish, I was able to write down the translations and they made a little sense to me. I will hopefully get to converse with them a little in their own language. Of course I need the translators to tell me what they are saying back!!
The translators! Another thing I am excited about! I am in charge of them, and I have some devotions planned for them. I can't wait to get to know them and see where God takes us in the next two weeks. Most are University students and have so much on their plates. I hope they feel comfortable with me, can relax and reveal themselves enough to be ministered to.
Another area of ministry is a small part I will play in a class for the women. I am speaking to the women about Love in the home. It will be Valentine's Day when I do this, so I am taking heart-shaped items to illustrate my points. One item is a tin heart, and when I open the lid, it will say Jesus on a piece of paper inside. I am using scriptures like "Make love your aim". I am going to emphasis the love languages and the different ways they can show love to their children (including discipline!)
Working with the kids will be fun....using jellybeans to tell the salvation message through colors; candy canes for a lesson about the blood and purity of Christ; and for games, Lauren gave me a parachute to take and I found beach balls at Target.
Yeah, I'm pretty pumped. Will be home Feb 26 WITH PIX.
