Not too shabby

Jon and I just returned from a FABULOUS trip to San Diego.

It was a trip Jon won through his company. Imagine my delight when, after disembarking from our long flight, we saw this man waiting for us. VIP treatment!
He had a Lincoln town car to wisk us to our hotel right on San Diego Bay (below)
The view of the bay was gorgeous! While in S D, we went on a harbor cruise, a horse and buggy ride, and a trolley tour of the different neighborhoods. We were able to go to Coronado Island and walk on the beach and put our toes in the ocean. We had a day and a half to sit by the pool and just chill. And, to top it off, the company rented out Sea World for an evening's entertainment.
The Navy has a huge presence in San Diego, including the training site for the Navy SEALs. It was so refreshing to see our Armed Forces appreciated!! In the bay were many Navy ships and the harbor tour gave us a close up look at the different sizes and uses for the vessels. There was also a Dole-Honduras ship docked there that made me remember the banana farms I saw on my trip. We were delighted to also view sea lions in their natural habitat.
So, today: back to the real world of laundry, cooking and errands. But what good memories!
