A milestone has been reached in the blogging world for me! 50 posts! It seems almost anticlimactic since Dan reached 200 blogs this past week....
I have reached this "goal" the same week I received news of CHANGE coming in my work situation. I should have been suspicious when my boss kept asking me if I was dialing into the Area Conference Call on my day off. I completely forgot about doing so...and then he sent me a text on Friday morning while I was at Panera's having a sesame bagel. I thought it was very odd, and that maybe I should indeed enter the conference call. I got on 8 minutes late so missed the big announcement, but heard enough from the Area Leadership that my bagel began coming back up.
Seems they are doing a nationwide reorganization of my department. What this will mean no one seems to be sure. For a change, they are bringing the peons like me into the loop now, before they have all the answers as to how this is going to impact us as individuals. There will be some change in job descriptions and responsibilities and of course there is that dark shadow of the chance that some positions will be eliminated. They kept the tone upbeat by emphasizing that new positions will also be created.
Not news I wanted to hear or digest (or regurgitate) on my day off. I quickly called Jon to lament to him (I have never been good with change)
His response was one of great wisdom. He told me that his devotions that morning had this theme: "Adversity creates opportunity". I felt so uplifted and relieved with this word. I trust it was from God himself. And, I plan on setting a tone in my work group of optimistic tranquility. Help me keep true to that in the months ahead, blogging friends.

50, Good job. I can honestly say that I have read every one :)
So your 50th post brings people out of the woodwork to comment, but your son moving home can't move a single soul? Disappointing.

Dan has way too much free time on his hands, so don't hold yourself up to his 200 post standard. The rest of us have lives and stuff. (just kidding, Dan, you know we love you!) :)
