Lots of Activity

Just when all details surrounding Wensen's trip got settled and things started to calm down around here, my little buddy and love, Levi, came for the weekend! Joy! He went to North Park pool yesterday with Bethany and the Lighthouse gang. Levi went down the "big slide" 9 times. You would think being out in the hot sun and swimming would zap some of his energy, but he bounded in yesterday afternoon like a new puppy.
Jon cooked out, hamburgers and chicken, and we ate on the deck. Levi was full of stories about what has been going on with him, his brother, and in his neighborhood. I hadn't seen him for two weeks. Lots can happen in the life of a six year old in two weeks!
After dinner Levi was playing with the Wii when there was a knock on the door: Rose and Charley stopped by for a visit! They were delighted to get a chance to catch up with our little sweetie and he entertained us all with his stories and personality. Charley, Jon, Levi and Bethany took a ride in Charley's cool big truck to Sonic and brought us all back milkshakes.
Before bed, Levi and I played two rousing games of Go Fish.
As I tucked him in under the sheets last night, I told him that he will always have a place in our home. That elicited a huge grin.
Even though this little tyke did not come to live with us, he is still a major part of our lives!
