He's still here!

In mid-to-late July, I posted a few times about my Honduran friend,Wensen, who had come to the United States for a visit. When he was planning his trip, we thought it was for ten days. Then, once here and all of the communication straightened out, we discovered, no, his airline ticket was for 45 days. Fine.
There is a community of fine people in New York that wanted Wensen to visit, so we sent him north for a few weeks. They loved having him so much THEY PAID TO EXTEND HIS TICKET FOR ANOTHER MONTH.
I kid you not. He is still here.
He arrived back in Pennsylvania this week to continue his American tour. People have been so generous with their time and money when it comes to showing Wensen a good time.
While in New York, he attended a Buffalo Bills professional football game. One family took him to Niagra Falls and he rode The Maid of the Mist (something I have never done). Dave from NY has a private jet that he took Wensen for a ride in. He also enjoyed an afternoon on a speed boat on Lake Chattauqua. The night before Wensen left NY, they threw him a going away party that was attended by 70 people.
This weekend a couple from Valencia is taking Wensen to Washington, D.C.
Yesterday he went biking in Moraine State Park.
He has also done yard work for people, waited tables at The Hotel Lenhart, and has been a speaker at Rich Mar Rotary (Jon said he was so charming, he had everyone eating out of his hand).
When asked at Rotary what his favorite part of the United States has been, he said, "I love everything about this country. But, this country would be nothing without you wonderful people."
While in New York, the Lutheran Church in Bemus Point allowed him to preach one Sunday. (he is taking classes to be a pastor at night after attending law school by day)
Yesterday he and I spent the afternoon together. We sat at a picnic table in North Park, talking about everything under the sun. I expressed to him my fear that he has had such a good time while here that he won't want to go back to his home in Honduras.
He smiled and told me that while it has been a wonderful opportunity to visit the United States and get to know us all, the best part of this trip is that he now has a Visa. This Visa will open up the doors to allow him to travel wherever God calls him......perhaps Africa, South America, or elsewhere.
I got chills, thinking of all the lives he could influence around the world for Jesus.
