I had a really great thought yesterday.
This could be the breakthrough year for the Pirates!
Why, you ask?
It will be Josh's first full year back in the 'burgh. And I really don't know a bigger fan of the Pirates than Josh.
But his "fandom" is not why I think this could be the year.
Consider this: Pitt basketball has reached #1 in the polls for the first time in school history. The Steelers are one game away from the Super Bowl. And Pitt football went to a Bowl game (yes, they smelled up the place, but that's beside the point). This trip to a Bowl game was the first time in many years.
The common denominator? Josh is back in town.

I'd also like to point out that as soon as I moved to town, the Pens went to the Stanley Cup Finals.
Being the world's biggest Bucco fan, all I want is a winning season with hope for the future. But right now, I'm totally focused on the fact that I root for the #1 hoops team in the nation!
