Dreamin'

I had the most awesome, vivid dream the other night. The night I had the dream was actually Thanksgiving eve.
In my dream, Levi was playing with Josh. Levi was exactly like he is today, 6 years old and as cute as a bug in a rug. Josh, however, was YOUNGER than Levi in the dream, and he was EXACTLY LIKE HE WAS WHEN HE WAS A LITTLE BOY. In the dream, I heard Josh's voice: it was exactly the pitch it was when he was a small child. I heard Josh's laugh. It sounded just how Josh laughed 24 years ago. And he had the same chubby cheeks that I remembered once I saw them, but think I may have forgotten until the dream.
I woke up with such a feeling of peace and joy. I know this is going to sound either weird or corny, but I felt the dream was a gift from God. I woke up saying, "Thank you God for letting me see my son as a little boy again."
I don't know how to explain the feeling any better than that. I am hoping that I get to see Bethy and Jere in my dreams as children someday, too. Very strange thing to say, but it was one of the best dreams I ever had.

Now that Isaiah is getting older, I realize how quickly time goes by. I take every chance to squeeze Sam's little cheeks and make him laugh his adorable little baby laugh. I try to appreciate Isaiah's age too, but it's harder because he seems big already. What a great dream!
